Dogs' skin tumors can be benign or malignant.
Skin tumors in dogs can take many forms, some of which are benign and some of which are malignant. The malignant tumors are a serious problem that can result in the death of the dog and these will not shrink, but some benign tumors, such as lipomas, can be shrunk and even completely go away with the appropriate treatment of the dog. It is important to determine what type of tumor is growing on the dog before working on shrinking the tumor as malignant tumors need to be surgically removed by a vet for the dog to survive.
Instructions
1. Make the dog lose weight. Skin tumors like lipomas will typically shrink or even completely disappear when an overweight dog loses weight. These are only seen in dogs that have gained too much weight and are especially seen in female dogs. Having the canine lose until it reaches a healthy weight will shrink these skin tumors.
2. Feed the dog raw meat for meals. Dogs are natural carnivores and many dog foods, especially the dry dog foods, are full of vegetables like corn and preservatives that are bad for the dog and can cause extreme weight gain. Raw meat can help the dog by taking out the preservatives and vegetables.
3. Give the dog immune boosting supplements. There are supplements that are safe for dogs that can help improve their immune systems and will shrink benign tumors over time. Combined with weight loss, immune boosters can quickly reduce the size of the tumor. Some vets will carry appropriate immune boosters for dogs.
4. Bring your dog to the vet for any skin tumors that continue to grow, even if it was originally diagnosed as benign.
Tips Warnings
Always have a vet examine the skin tumor before attempting to shrink it on your own to determine if it is malignant.
