Remove The Starter On A Sebring Coupe

Starter

Starters on all automobiles eventually wear out and must be replaced. So, it is important to be able to easily and effectively remove the starter on your Sebring Coupe. The process requires only a few common tools, and can be completed by most anyone.

Instructions

1. Pull the Sebring Coupe into a easily accessible location. Then, pull the vehicle onto blocks, or jack it up.

2. Locate the starter at the front of the Sebring Coupe. It will look like a wide cylinder with electrical leads coming off it.

3. Remove the screw connecting the electrical leads using a standard phillips screwdriver. Then, pull the leads away from the starter.

4. Remove the bolts securing the starter using a socket wrench. Then, pry the starter assembly apart with a flathead screwdriver, and pull the starter away from the mounting post.

Tips Warnings

If the bottom of the Sebring Coupe is very dirty, wear goggles or safety glasses to help keep debris out of your eyes.

Always use caution when working around possible live electrical ends and pinch points.
