I have a two-year-old Maytag Bravos Electronic Dryer. The numbers at the bottom of the owners manual are W10260037A and W10267625A-SP. I’m not sure if one of these is the model number.
I was drying a load of laundry and the timer stopped at 10 minutes and the dryer stopped heating. The dryer works but there is no heat.
The filter is clean and the exhaust pipe is clean. We turned the circuit breakers off and on but there is still no heat nor is there any exhaust from the dryer (either outside or at the back of the dryer when we remove the exhaust pipe.
I’m thinking it’s either the thermal fuse or the thermostat. Sears wants either $200 up front to fix it or they will charge $80 to have a technician come out and diagnose the problem. The $80 would be applied to the repair cost if we go ahead and have them fix it. I'm not sure what to do now.
Model # is inside door will start with a 110, Most likely you need a heater element or a thermostat, Need a multi meter to check. If you call Sears to fix get the 200$ service will give you a year of service on dryer.

Just wanted to provide an update as to what the Sears repair man found. The internal belt was twisted and off. The heating elements were replaced. Finally, the drum was not sealed and he applied some heavy-duty adhesive. He said the absence of a seal was a problem from the factory. Interesting to find this out after two years of ownership. Your advice to purchase the $200 service contract was excellent. Once again, thank you.
Another update.......the timer seems to be broken. A normal cycle is 48 minutes. With the first load, the timer showed 41 minutes left after about 40 minutes. The second load I did, the timer showed 15 minutes left after about 10 minutes. The light to indicate damp, dry, etc. isn't lit. Grrrrrr. Guess it's a good thing I did purchase the service contract.
Check the vent to the outside, Most dryer problems start with the vent. Easiest way to check is take vent tube off back of dryer and feel air flow, reconnect vent go outside and feel air flow there should be about the same. Your time is a estimated time by sensor. Try on timed dry and see if clothes are dry in 60 minutes. If not usually air flow problem.
