Cure Frequent Urination

Anyone who has ever experienced frequent urination knows of how frustrating it can be. But what does it mean when you need to use the restroom so frequently? According to medical doctors, frequent urination is most often a sign of a more serious condition. A few common conditions associated with frequent urination include urinary tract infections and bladder infections. Generally speaking, frequent urination can be cured using one of the many at home treatment methods.

Instructions

1. Eliminate any caffeinated coffees, teas, or sodas from your diet. Caffeine irritates the prostate (in males) and causes your urinary system to work harder. Consider switching to decaf coffee and replacing green tea and black tea with a tea such as chamomile. If you are an avid cola drinker, switch to a caffeine-free version.

2. Purchase a few natural supplements that relieve frequent urination. A few supplements effective in relieving frequent urination include zinc, nitric oxide, and horsetail extract. Take these bladder-controlling supplements as directed until your frequent urination problem is cured.

3. Drink cranberry juice. Cranberry juice is effective in promoting a healthy urinary tract. If your frequent urination is due to a urinary tract infection, cranberry juice can be used to kill the bacteria that cause the infection. You also have the option of taking concentrated cranberry capsules, which can be found at most vitamin stores. For the best results drink 2 to 3 glasses of cranberry juice daily or take 3 to 4 cranberry capsules.

4. Perform kegel exercises to help promote a healthy urinary system. To perform Kegel exercises, lay on the floor and tighten up your groin muscles as you would if you were trying to stop urine flow, hold for 10 seconds and release. For the best results repeat this process 3 to 4 times daily. Kegels help relieve frequent urination by increasing the strength of the muscles that hold in your urine.

5. Schedule an appointment with a doctor if your frequent urination continues. A doctor will be able to determine whether your frequent urination is the result of a more serious condition which may require immediate medical attention. Also consider scheduling an appointment with a dietitian. A dietitian will analyze your diet and recommend specific changes that can be made to help eliminate your frequent urination problem.
