If the heater core on a 1995 Kia Sportage begins to malfunction, you should remove it immediately in order to repair or replace it. A malfunctioning heater core on a Sportage can result in the leakage of antifreeze into the passenger compartment and may also produce smoke that enters the passenger compartment through the air conditioning vents. You may expect to spend close to two hours pulling the heater core from a Kia Sportage.
