Make Fancy Quinceanera Invitations

A fancy quinceanera invitation will get your guests excited to come to you party.

Quince is fifteen in Spanish, and a quinceanera party marks a girl's 15th birthday. This is a tradition common in the Latin American culture and is an exciting time in a young girl's life as this symbolizes her turning from a girl into a woman. Planning a quinceanera party starts by selecting an invitation that will set the tone for the event. A fancy invitation will surely get your guests excited to come to your party. Making a fancy quinceanera invitation is not hard at all, in fact you can do it yourself.

Instructions

1. Open a word processing program, like Microsoft Word, and customize a blank document into an A2 size. Type the wording you want on the card including all the necessary details such as the name of the celebrant, the time and location of the event, and RSVP information. Select the appropriate font size and font color. Make sure the font size is not too big that it takes up all the space. There should be at least a margin of an inch of empty space. Center the text so that it will appear in the middle of the card when you print it. Print the text on the lighter colored card. Trim the printed cards with the scallop edge scissors for scalloped effect.

2. Cut the vellum papers so that they are slightly smaller than your printed cards. When you put the vellum paper on top of the card, the card's scalloped edges should stick out.

3. Trim the darker colored cards so that they are slightly smaller than the vellum paper. When you put the darker colored card on top of the vellum paper, about half an inch of the vellum paper should stick out.

4. Select the photo of the celebrant and resize it so that it is slightly smaller than the darker colored card. Print and place the photo on top of the card, leaving at least an inch of space between the photo and the edge of the card. You may crop the photo using scissors to make it fit. Stick the photo on the card using hot glue. Now you have a photo card.

5. Place the vellum paper on top of the printed card and the photo card on top of the vellum paper. Center the layers so that they are balanced. Position your paper piercer on the upper left hand corner of the photo card. Pierce a tiny hole through the three paper layers. Attach the brad paper fastener to the paper, pushing it through the hole you made. Push the prongs flat to secure the brad. Attach the rhinestone on top of the brad by using hot glue.

Tips Warnings

Do not attempt to pierce the papers with the brad paper fastener as this will crumple your paper.
