Natural Hair Growth Remedies

Healthy hair begins with a healthy scalp. Natural hair growth remedies are often scalp treatments to ensure that the hair follicles are clear and prepared for strong growth. Hair growth remedies contain ingredients that are commonly found in the kitchen or as close as the local grocery store. It is a cost efficient and environmentally friendly way to keep hair beautiful.

Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed oil encourages growth by increasing the circulation in the scalp. Flaxseed oil also contains vitamin E, which works to repair damaged skin on the scalp and supports healthy cell production.

Take 3 to 5 flaxseed oil capsules and puncture them. Massage the flaxseed oil into the scalp for 2 to 3 minutes. Allow the flaxseed oil to seep into the scalp for about 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition hair as usual, making sure to get all of the oil out.

Olive Oil

Olive oil has been used by Greeks to bathe in to create beautiful and healthy skin since ancient times. The polyphenolic compounds in extra virgin olive oil work as antioxidants when applied directly to the skin.

Because olive oil is clarifying as well as moisturizing, it is a good natural hair growth remedy when applied directly to the scalp. Make sure to buy extra virgin olive oil to avoid any chemicals from processing.

Apply olive oil directly to the scalp before bed, cover with a shower cap and wash out of hair in the morning when you shampoo. Hair will grow long and strong.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is derived from seedless apples, but it is different from other vinegars because it does not go through the distilling process. This ensures that minerals and other important enzymes are not lost due to this streaming procedure. The natural acids in apple cider vinegar, malic acid and tartaric acid, balance skin's natural acid levels and fight bacteria and other toxins.

Apple cider vinegar applied to the scalp as a hair rinse is a natural remedy for hair growth because it removes any dead skin cells and bacteria that clog the pores and prevent healthy hair growth. It regulates the acid balance and gives hair a stable place to grow.

Combine 1 cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 1/2 cups of water. In the shower, pour rinse throughout hair and massage it into the scalp for 2 to 3 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual.
