Understanding the Vitamin


Vitamins contain essential minerals that the body needs. Unfortunately, the body does not produce these minerals naturally, so we must rely on either foods or capsules to generate these nutrients. While most vitamins are effective for curing a lot of issues with the body, they also have the capacity to be a little harsh on the stomach. The strength of your stomach is determined by its size and intake history, and the strength of that statistic determines how your body absorbs particular vitamins.

The stomach is the primary organ that handles the breaking down of vitamins and minerals into usable nutrients. Certain vitamins also contain an overabundance of a particular nutrient, which can be tough on the stomach for those with a history of pains or indigestion.


Avoiding Indigestion








The primary ways to avoid indigestion when taking a particular vitamin is to have plenty of solids and liquids before intake. The more your stomach has to digest, the easier the vitamin will be able to separate into its primary nutrients for distribution. Another important thing to remember is that not all vitamins have the potential to cause indigestion; some actually relieve it. Vitamins that have enzymatic properties help strengthen the lining of the stomach, while herbs like peppermint provide gastric relief.
