Side Effects Of Ocuvite

Ocuvite is a vitamin supplement made up of a combination of vitamins and nutrients that are essential to many of the body's functions. The supplement works by providing users with many of the vitamins that they do not get in their normal diet. As with most nutritional supplements, there are a number of side effects associated with using the medication.

Common Side Effects

Some of these side effects include headache, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, mild vomiting, headache and an unpleasant taste in the mouth. While these are considered the most common side effects associated with using this supplement, they only affect a small amount of users.

Severe Side Effects

Unfortunately, there are also a number of severe side effects associated with using Ocuvite. Some of these side effects include severe allergic reaction, hives, skin rash, tightening of the chest, closing of the throat, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the lips, mouth and tongue. These side effects are also very rare.

Important Safety Information

Overdoses of vitamins A, D, E, and K can be extremely dangerous and sometimes fatal, so please use multivitamins with extreme caution and monitor how much you ingest. This supplement should also never be taken with any dairy products as calcium has been known to make it harder for your body to absorb key vitamins and minerals. If you are pregnant or are planning on becoming pregnant, consult with your doctor to ensure that Ocuvite will not do any harm to the unborn baby.

Usage

Always use Ocuvite in direct conjunction with the directions on the label and never in dosages larger than what has been recommended on the label. Ocuvite is administered in pill form and should be ingested with a full glass of water. The supplement can be taken with or without food and should never be crushed, broken up or chewed as the medication is meant to simply dissolve on your tongue. Store Ocvuite away from sources of moisture and at room temperature.

Warning

If you experience any of the aforementioned side effects, contact your doctor for an adjusted treatment method.

If an overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center and head directly to the nearest emergency room.

Ocuvite is a multivitamin supplement meant for vitamin deficiency only and should never be used in excess or for non-medicinal purposes.
