Improve your skin's radiance with a combination of healthy dieting and proper skincare.
A healthy glow is associated with healthy, youthful skin, and is achievable with a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, as well as mild skincare to keep your face smooth. Vitamins and nutrients found in fruits and vegetables contribute to the overall appearance of your skin, and is also available in multivitamins that supplement a healthy diet. Exfoliation is also key to maintaining radiance, as dead skin cells tend to cause a tired appearance and must be gently removed to allow new cells to generate.
Instructions
1. Wet your face with warm water, and gently rub a mild exfoliator against
2. Consume more fish. Fish contains the fat DHA-omega-3, which contributes to the skin's elasticity. Eat 4 oz. of fish such as salmon or albacore tuna two to three times a week to improve the appearance of your skin and hair.
3. Drink two cups of green tea daily. Green tea has polyphenols, antioxidants that help thicken the skin and protect your skin against photo damage, according to Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz of "You: Being Beautiful." Drink 8 ounces of water several times throughout the day to stay hydrated, which also keeps the skin moisturized.
4. Increase vegetable and fruit consumption. Vitamins C and E are popular as they stimulate collagen in the face to improve the condition of your skin. Vitamin C is commonly found in oranges, strawberries, cauliflower, broccoli, and kale. Vitamin E is found in carrot juice, tomato juice, nuts, and olive oil. Take one multivitamin daily, or as specified on the vitamin packet's directions.
5. Get plenty of sleep. Seven to eight hours of sleep a night stimulates collagen and elastin production within your body, which helps maintain your skin's youthful appearance.
