What Vitamins Help Healthy Hair Growth

The Integumentary System of the body is responsible for the growth of hair and nails. This organ is constantly working and requires many nutrients in order to operate. This is why there are certain vitamin supplements that you can take in order to increase the speed and length of the hair and nails growth cycle. These vitamins include Vitamin E, Vitamin B Complex, Biotin, Choline Bartate and Folic Acid.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E stimulates blood circulation to the scalp and nail bed. This provides much needed oxygen to the hair and nails that causes them to grow.

Vitamin B Complex

Vitamin B stimulates and nourishes the Integumentary System and increases the health of new hair and nail growth. Vitamin B Complex includes Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5 and B12.

Biotin

Biotin is often seen in many of the hair, nails and skin vitamin formulas. Biotin stimulates new growth and prevents shedding of brittle hair and nails.

Choline Bartate

Choline Bartate provides moisture to the scalp and nail bed. It provides the essential water and oils that are needed to keep the hair and nails properly lubricated.

Folic Acid

Folic acid can be taken alone or as part of the Vitamin B Complex. Folic acid increases the normal lifespan of hair and nails so that they don't shed and break off.
