Increase Natural Hair Growth

Increase Natural Hair Growth

Increasing natural hair growth can usually be accomplished by ensuring all the body's nutritional needs are met. This can include diet changes, increased water consumption, and vitamin supplements. Herbs can also be used, as well as other lifestyle changes to significantly increase natural hair growth.

Instructions

1. Take a high quality B vitamin complex supplement after each meal to increase natural hair growth. These vitamins are specific to this problem, and a deficiency could be to blame for decreased natural hair growth. In addition, zinc and vitamin A should be added to the diet. Take supplements according to manufacturer directions.

2. Use herbs to increase natural hair growth. Nettle, rosemary, nutmeg, cloves, artichokes, quince, and jaborandi are all time tested herbs known to stimulate natural hair growth. Make any of these herbs, singly or in combination, into a strong tea and use as a rinse for the hair. Steep one teaspoon of herbal material in one cup of boiling water for fifteen minutes, and then strain. Apply after shampooing, and rinse thoroughly with the tea.

3. Increase your intake of fresh fruits, vegetables, and non-animal protein such as tofu, whole grains, nuts, beans, and legumes. These foods contain nutrients necessary for natural hair growth. Supplements alone are not a substitute for a diet high in whole, natural foods.

4. Drink at least six glasses of water per day. Water will carry the vitamins and minerals needed for natural hair growth to your hair follicles, where they can be used to stimulate growth and keep the hair healthy. Drinking too little pure water can be a significant factor in suppressed natural hair growth.

5. Avoid hairstyles that put too much tension on the hair follicle such as tight plaits, ponytails secured by elastic bands, and corn-rows. These styles can all impede natural hair growth if worn tightly for long periods of time. In addition, any wigs or hairpieces should not be attached too tightly, as they can also retard natural hair growth.

6. Reduce the amount of stress in your life to increase your natural hair growth. This problem is rampant among people in their late 20s and early 30s due to the responsibilities of work and family. Try meditation and stress relieving exercises daily to stimulate natural hair growth, and remember to take time out for you.
