2. Add more fiber to your lifestyle and diet. Soluble and insoluble fiber both are effective natural cleaners for the intestines, as they cannot digest in your body. Fruits, vegetables and grains are all fiber-rich foods healthy for the body and colon.


3. Drinking more fluids and liquids can help soften stool for easier passing for cleanses. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks, as these can cause your body to become dehydrated --- making it harder to have a bowel movement. This can also stop cleanses completely or slow them down.








4. Stop consuming milk and other dairy products to avoid constipation.


5. Purchase a detox or colon cleanse program or drink mix from your local vitamin outlet store. These systems typically last a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how thorough the cleanse is. 6. Use an enema if your stool is impacted and alternative methods of cleansing the colon have not been successful. You can purchase enemas at your local drugstore or by using the Internet.
