What Are Effective & Natural Methods Of Removing Warts

Garlic is just one of the natural remedies for wart removal.

If you have warts, you may not have to see a physician for removal. There are natural and safe methods to effectively remove warts at home. However, these methods may not be effective for certain types of warts and are not recommended for treating internal genital warts or those that may be under the surface of the nail. In these particular cases, you can actually irritate the delicate skin in these regions. Otherwise, common areas can be treated by all-natural means.

Garlic

Garlic is a natural and effective wart removal treatment proven by studies. These treatments consist of an oil based garlic solution applied to the desired area. To utilize this method, use a piece of fresh garlic and either olive or Castor oil. The oil is first applied to the skin and covered by the garlic before being secured in place. This treatment may have to be used for a couple of months to achieve results.

Vitamin D 3

Clinical trials have established that vitamin D 3 has been effective in the treatment of warts. However, supplements are not recommended and will not have the desired effect. The benefits of this vitamin for wart treatment are for topical use only and can also take awhile to effectively get rid of the problem. One of the most common sources of topical vitamin D 3 is cod liver oil, which is directly applied to the wart.

Other Topical Treatments

There are other natural oils that can be used to help treat warts due to their antiviral properties. These includes aloe vera gel and tea tree oil. As with the other methods, the oils are applied directly to the wart. In some cases, it may be necessary to dilute these concoctions with another oil of kitchen variety or water to prevent skin irritation. Frequent application is recommended, as in two or three times a day, until the wart goes away.
