Use High Frequency For Facials

Use High Frequency for Facials

High frequency sound has been used since the 1980s for cosmetic purposes. It produces heat in the deeper tissue, the rapid vibrations producing a massaging effect and the cavitation effect creating microscopic bubbles of oxygen. These effects from high frequency sound result in a variety of biological improvements. The following steps will show use high frequency sound on facials.

Instructions

1. Apply the ultrasound gel to the face. This should come with your kit and provides a liquid medium that allows the high frequency sound waves to be transmitted from the generator into the facial tissue.

2. Adjust the settings of the ultrasound device according to the instructions and the specific treatment desired. Most units produce vibrations in the 1 to 3 MHz range with various pulsed and continuous modes of operation.

3. Use high frequency to provide deep cleansing for the skin. A 30- to 45-minute session can allow the vibrations to break up old skin cells and oily blockages. It also can increase the skin metabolism which removes waste products more quickly. Patients report an immediate improvement in the appearance of their skin.

4. Improve fine lines, stretch marks and sun-damaged skin with sonopheresis. This is the process of using ultrasound to cause creams applied to the face to penetrate more deeply. This therapy usually requires four treatments before results are seen.

5. Treat contractures and scar tissue with high frequency. The improvement in these areas is believed to be caused by the heating and loosening of the underlying collagen tissue. Treatments are followed by massaging exercises and the application of special creams.
