What Is Lipoflavonoid

Lipoflavanoid is an over-the-counter drug for the treatment of tinnitus, or excessive ringing in the ears. The drug has not been approved by the FDA.


Identification


In addition to reducing tinnitus, lipoflavanoid is sometimes used to by patients who have Meniere's disease, a disease of the inner ear canal.


Features


The active ingredients of Lipoflavanoid include vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and bioflavonoids.


Effects








The recommended dosage for adults is two caplets, three times a day. It can take up to six months before any noticeable changes take effect. Consult a physician before giving Lipoflavanoid to your child.


Considerations


Lipoflavanoid is available at health care supply stores and pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens.


Warning


Talk to your physician if you think you may have tinnitus or Meniere's disease. Your physician can help you decide if you should take Lipoflavanoid or another type of medication.
