Make Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E Moisturizing Cream
Cocoa butter and vitamin E moisturizing cream is a natural, homemade alternative to expensive commercial moisturizers, which often contain potentially harmful chemicals and additives to scent and stabilize them. Making your own skin care products will also allow you to scent them the way you want. If you wish, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the cocoa butter and vitamin E moisturizing cream. Store the cream in a cool, dark place between uses.
Instructions
1. Place the cocoa butter and apricot kernel oil in a small saucepan, and heat over low heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the cocoa butter is melted.
2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
3. Add the vitamin E oil and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon or glass stirrer.
4. Transfer the cocoa butter and vitamin E cream to a wide-mouthed glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
