Healthy Hair & Skin Vitamins

Certain vitamins are imperative for healthy skin and hair. Although a multi-vitamin supplement is helpful, you can also incorporate these vitamins in a balanced diet. Foods such as fresh fruits, nuts, dark green vegetables, seafood and lean meats are vitamin sources for beautiful skin and hair.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A gives skin a youthful and smooth appearance. Vitamin A allows the scalp to produce sebum and results in thick and shiny hair.

Vitamin B-complex

B vitamins responsible for maintaining the skin's balance and giving it a natural glow. Specifically, the B vitamin biotin is responsible for hair growth.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C produces collagen in the skin and fights free radicals. It supports hair growth by increasing circulation in the scalp.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is produced by the body when skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D is important because it regulates skin pigmentation. Deficiencies are linked to hair loss.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E prevents age spots and can be applied topically to heal sunburn and reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles. Vitamin E, like vitamin C, boosts circulation in the scalp, causing hair to grow faster.

Vitamin F

Vitamin F comes from unsaturated fatty acids essential for cell production and keeping skin elastic. Vitamin F promotes healthy hair and encourages growth.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K heals damaged skin on the face and body, and skin will bruise more easily if it is deficient. Vitamin K keeps hair healthy.
