Promote Eyebrow Growth

If you'd like to grow thicker eyebrows, follow these instructions.

If you feel that your eyebrows are too thin, you may want to increase their growth rate so that you can enjoy thick, noticeable eyebrows. Many things can happen to cause eyebrow hair loss; it can be a result of stress, medications, illness, or simply too much plucking and waxing. Restoring the lost hair can add definition to your eyes or make your face more noticeable, drawing admiring glances wherever you go. Promoting eyebrow growth may take a little work, but the results will be worth it.

Instructions

1. Massage a drop of castor oil or olive oil into your eyebrows each day with your fingertips. This technique has been used for thousands of years and dates back to Ancient Egypt as a way to promote hair growth.

2. Halt any waxing and plucking for three months. It takes at least two months for hair that has been repeatedly waxed or plucked to regrow to a noticeable extent.

3. Increase your vitamin intake. Vitamin D, especially, has been studied as a hair regrowth treatment. You should also increase your intake of vitamins B12, which, according to Dr. Ted Daly, is a nutrient that is essential to the development of hair. (See Reference 1) Taking 2 to 3 mg of biotin, a B vitamin, daily can also help to promote eyebrow growth.

4. Eat foods rich in iron, such as broccoli and brewer's yeast. Iron can strengthen the hair you do grow and help it to appear more thick and full. You should also be eating a diet high in protein and be sure that you're getting plenty of good fats, such as the Omega-3 oils found in fish.

5. Don't use any chemicals like dyes on your eyebrows while you're trying to promote their growth. Though they won't stop the growth of the strand at the root, dyes can cause massive breakage, which would make your eyebrows appear sparse and insignificant.
