Make Organic Sunblock

Getting outside for an afternoon of fun in the sun will healthier if you're wearing organic sunscreen. Make your own organic sunblock and you can avoid harmful synthetic chemicals added to commercial products. Making this recipe is simple and the ingredients are readily available at organic health food stores.


Instructions








1. Gather the ingredients needed to make your organic sunblock.


2. Assemble and heat the double boiler to medium temperature.


3. Combine sesame oil, coconut oil and beeswax in the double boiler and warm over medium heat.


4. Remove from heat and pour in green tea or distilled water.


5. Mix with electric handheld mixer until the ingredients are thick and smooth.


6. Add zinc oxide, wheat germ oil, vitamin C and vitamin A.


7. Drop in essential oils--if desired--and blend well.
