Vitamins To Take To Make Hair Grow Faster

If you have suffered hair loss because of poor eating habits or because a physical illness or condition prevented you from eating as you should, you should know that certain vitamins can cause your hair to grow back faster.

You can get these vitamins by eating foods rich in them or by taking vitamin supplements. Once your body has replenished these vitamins, the harmful effects of the deficiency on your hair will be reversed.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which means it helps your body's cells ward off free radicals and other toxins. It has always been beneficial for your skin, but it can also help your hair. Vitamin E improves the circulation to the scalp, which, when it receives enough blood and nutrients, stimulates the hair follicles, causing hair to grow faster. Dark green, leafy vegetables and vegetable oils and nuts, eaten raw, are all good sources of vitamin E.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is also an antioxidant. It works to nourish all parts of the hair and scalp, which makes hair grow faster. Eat citrus fruits or berries or drink fruit juices that either contain natural vitamin C or have been fortified with it.

Vitamins B6, B5 and B3

If your hair is in good condition and health overall, but you want to boost the color naturally without dyeing or coloring products, add vitamin B6 to your diet. It helps in the formation of melanin, which is what gives your skin and hair their color. Then maintain your hair color by taking vitamin B5, which helps keep your hair from turning prematurely gray.

By eating foods such as whole grains, dried beans and eggs that contain the B-complex vitamins (which include B5 and B6), you improve the health of your hair, which will result in faster hair growth.

Vitamin B3 is also known as niacin. Like vitamin E, it is beneficial to the circulatory system, ensuring that all parts of your body including the head and scalp are being adequately nourished. A well-nourished scalp allows for the increase of hair growth. Find vitamin B3 in white meat, such as poultry and fish.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A adds essential oils to your body, which can help accelerate hair growth. It is found in yellow and orange vegetables such as squash and carrots and also in fruits such as peaches and apricots.

Shampoo With Vitamins

Using a shampoo that contains vitamins and vitamin complexes can also help facilitate rapid hair growth. The vitamins in the shampoo will help nourish and maintain the hair you already have.

There are many brands of vitamin-fortified shampoo, so choose the one that is right for you and your particular hair type. Your hairstylist can recommend a good shampoo that also contains vitamins.
