Get Rid Of Dark Marks & Uneven Skin Tone

Uneven skin tone can be caused by a number of issues including poor diet and the wrong skincare products. Dark marks usually form due to the aftermath of pimples, picking at the skin or dirt and oil deposits in the skin. Change some of your habits and start a new regimen to get back to clean, clear, healthy skin.

Instructions

1. Improve your nutrition. The foods you eat have a major effect on your skin tone. Eliminate oily foods, fast food, sugar and breads made with white flour. Add green leafy vegetables (like spinach, bok choy, greens and romaine lettuce), fish and water to your diet. In fact, drink at least six glasses of water a day to flush toxins that cause uneven skin tone out of the body. A cup of antioxidant-rich green tea each day also helps.

2. Take Vitamin E oil supplements twice a day and a multivitamin once a day. Additionally, apply Vitamin E oil to your skin topically to fade dark marks over time. Vitamin E sometimes helps even out skin tone and get rid of marks in certain areas of the skin.

3. Apply a moisturizer with sunscreen before walking outside in the sun. The UV rays from the sun are a top cause of uneven skin tone, as is air pollution.

4. Use an oil-control skin cleanser designed for your skin type (preferably with exfoliating beads). Often an uneven skin tone is due to an imbalance of oil deposits in the skin.

5. Avoid touching or picking at your skin with your hands, especially when they're dirty or oily. The dirt on your hands transfers to your skin and often causes dark marks.

6. Quit makeup for at least one week to see if your skin shows improvement. Certain types of makeup, especially the cheap brands, irritate the skin and worsen problems with dark marks and uneven skin. If you must wear makeup, use high-quality brands with natural ingredients.

7. Use a skin fade product that contains hydroquinone, a potent ingredient that fades dark marks. Consult with your dermatologist first to ensure that you won't have an allergic reaction, and use the cream sparingly only on discolorations.
