Preserve Pineapple Juice

Drink pineapple juice to get necessary nutrients and vitamins.

Just one cup of pineapple juice provides the full recommended amount of vitamin C an individual needs in a day, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. Pineapple juice works as a dynamic ingredient in cocktails, punches, smoothies and marinades, whether it's canned, bottled or frozen. Preserving pineapple juice through proper storage will extend the life of the product and will give you time to create a plethora of recipes with this vitamin-packed fruit.

Instructions

1. Store the pineapple juice in a cool dry area. Keep cans in a cupboard or pantry and keep frozen pineapple juice in the freezer.

2. Keep opened juice in a tightly covered container. Do not store in metal containers. Refrigerate opened canned or bottled juice.

3. Use juice by the date listed on the packaging. Look at the "Best if used by," "Best by" or other similar date listing. If juice smells bad or leaks from the container, throw it away.

4. Keep unopened canned juice in a cupboard for up to eighteen months. Frozen pineapple juice stays fresh between 8 to 12 months.
