What Vitamins Can Make My Hair Grow







A healthy diet play a huge role in hair health. There are many vitamins and minerals that will enhance hair quality, keep it strong and shiny, and prevent breakage. It is important to know which ones are the best and what they do.


B Vitamins


B vitamins play a key role in the enhancement of the immune system and cell growth. All B vitamins have some nutritional benefit as it pertains to hair health. Vitamins B5 and B6 increase the strength of hair and keep it from falling out. B3 promotes blood circulation, thereby carrying nutrients to the scalp. Vitamin B12 guards against breakage. Most sources for B vitamins are found in lean meats such as turkey, and in tuna and beans. Potatoes, bananas, spinach, cheese, milk and whole grain cereals are also excellent sources of B vitamins.


Vitamin A


Vitamin A promotes the production of hair oil. This oil is also called sebum, and it is produced in the scalp. Sebum moisturizes hair follicles so the hair will not become dry or brittle. Vitamin A helps keep split ends at bay so hair can grow long and healthy. Some of the best sources for Vitamin A are milk, butter, cheese, eggs, carrots, broccoli and spinach.


Biotin


Biotin is instrumental in hair loss prevention. This supplement is found not only in foods but in external products such as creams, shampoos and conditioners. The most dense source of biotin is found in egg yolk. However, milk, almonds, strawberries, raspberries, cauliflower and tomatoes provide plenty of biotin. Almost all dietary supplements contain biotin as well. Many hair products contain biotin. Coupling the intake of food sources rich in biotin with hair care products that contain biotin will help prevent hair loss.
