Hormones, stress, diet and vitamin deficiencies can all cause acne. Eating the appropriate foods and vitamins promotes your overall body health. Good health enforces your body's natural defense mechanism to properly fight off unwanted acne.
Instructions
1. Hydrate your body's cells. Drink six glasses of water each day.
2. Incorporate the appropriate foods into your diet. Daily servings of colorful fruits and vegetables as well as onion and garlic are essential. Eat 1 tbsp. of mixed, fresh seeds, such as pumpkin, sunflower and sesame, every day. Eat 1 tbsp. of cold-pressed seed oils every day as well. Eat plenty of whole-grained foods, and whenever possible, eat organic foods.
3. Refrain from eating substances that enhance acne. Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine. Don't eat red meat more than a couple times a week, and avoid fried foods. Stay away from white flower and processed fats.
4. Take vitamin supplements. Vitamins A, B, B-12, E, B-5 and B-6 can help reduce acne. Consider a multi-vitamin, and consult your doctor for the appropriate doses.
5. Stay consistent. The only way to effectively rid your skin of acne naturally is to make a habit of eating healthy. You will start noticing a difference within a couple weeks.
