Get Rid Of Loose Belly Skin After Pregnancy

Once you have given birth your skin can become loose and saggy.

Losing weight too quickly causes loose skin. Pregnancy stretches your skin to its limits, so it's no surprise that after giving birth the skin around your belly ends up saggy and wrinkled. There is no quick fix to return your skin to its taut pre-pregnancy state, but that doesn't mean that new mothers should give up hope. There are a range of creams available to resupply the skin with its natural elasticity. Add in to the equation a low calorie diet and regular exercise and you will soon feel your skin tightening.

Instructions

Moisturizers, Creams and Scrubs

1. Scrub your skin with a body scrub twice a day, three days a week. This will remove the skin's top layer and allow the next layer to generate faster.

2. Apply Preparation-H to the loose skin once per day to help tighten the skin. It works by absorbing excess fluid within the skin

3. Spread a heavy moisturizer over the areas of loose skin on your body before going to sleep each night. This helps to keep the elasticity in your skin.

4. Wear pajamas that cover the moisturized areas so that the moisturizer does not rub off on the sheets.

Exercise

5. Do as many stomach crunches as you can, then try to keep adding one to your total each day until you feel you are pushing yourself too far. Stomach crunches are a great way to tone your skin.

6. Pull in your stomach for 2 minutes and then release it. Do this throughout your day. Whether you're watching TV, reading a book or cooking dinner, keep tightening your stomach muscles.

7. Place your baby on your stomach. Take a deep breath in, breath out, then gently lift your baby up and then down. Keep repeating this sequence.

8. Go for regular walks. Push your baby in a stroller.

Less Calories and a Healthy Diet

9. Cut your calorie intake to 1,800 to 2,200 calories per day.

10. Breastfeed your child. Your body will burn extra calories to make more milk.

11. Eat more fruit and vegetables, as antioxidants are good for your skin.

12. Drink a gallon of water every day, as hydration is important in tightening skin after pregnancy.
