Replace Healthy Stomach Bacteria

Healthy stomach bacteria are necessary to fight harmful bacteria and infections that can occur from colds and food. "Good" bacteria can often be depleted due to a poor diet, excessive drinking, antibiotic use and stress. Healthy bacteria attach to the stomach lining and prevent harmful bacteria from attaching and growing, according to "The Probiotics Revolution." Probiotics found in yogurt, cheese, wine and cottage cheese are all natural sources of beneficial bacteria. You can also replenish stomach flora by taking probiotic pill supplements, found in vitamin shops and health stores.

Instructions

1. Eat more yogurt. Besides being high in vitamin D and calcium, yogurt contains probiotics. Probiotics are also found in other dairy products such as cottage cheese and milk, as well as soy drinks.

2. Take a daily probiotic supplement. Follow the package directions carefully because side effects or allergic reactions may occur.

3. Reduce alcohol consumption. Hard liquor can kill the good bacteria in the stomach, allowing bad bacteria to multiply.

4. Drink more juice. Many popular juices on the market contain probiotics and are often labeled as "superfood" because of their high amounts of vitamins and nutrients per serving.
