Clear Skin With Vitamin E And Egg Whites

Use egg white as an acne-fighting ingredient.

Acne occurs when open pores on the skin become clogged and subsequently infected by bacteria. Causes of acne can include food allergies and diet, hormone imbalances, poor hygiene and stress. Egg whites contain protein that heals and rebuilds skin while temporarily shrinking pores. Vitamin E helps keep oil trapped in pores from becoming infected and hardened. Since vitamin E is an antioxidant, it also reduces the look of acne scars by penetrating the skin to fight free radicals that affect the healing process. Both vitamin E and egg whites are used in numerous face mask recipes.

Instructions

Facial Mask 1

1. Break open a vitamin E capsule and spread the oil over your face. Allow it to soak in for 30 minutes.

2. Break open an egg, carefully passing the yolk from one eggshell half to the other half without breaking it. As you pass the yolk, drain the egg white into a small bowl.

3. Coat your skin with the egg white and keep it on for 30 minutes.

4. Rinse off the mixture with cool water.

Facial Mask 2

5. Crack an egg and separate the yolk from the white, as with Step 2 above.

6. Mix the egg white with 1 tsp. vitamin E oil and 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal until smooth.

7. Apply the mixture to your skin.

8. Let the mask dry for 15 to 20 minutes.

9. Rinse off the mask with cool water.
