Hair is your crowning glory and when it's damaged or falling out, you can feel so helpless, but there are things you can do to improve or even reverse your hair loss.

Herbal Treatments
East Indians arguably have some of the most beautiful hair on the planet. They use the ancient meditative practice and herbal mixtures of Ayurveda for their ability to revive and energize hair. Two herbs, Ambla and Brahmi are recognized for their ability to help hair gain strength and grow.
Amla is known for providing moisture and strength while Brahmi encourages stimulation that leads to growth. These are powerful herbs that in power form should be used very sparingly and when used improperly, can cause more harm than good. They also can be found in more user-friendly oils.
Natural and Un-Natural Remedies
Onion juice has been used in many cultures to stimulate hair growth. Squeeze a small amount of onion juice using a garlic press or food processor and massage into scalp before bed. Or you can just cut a small onion and rub the scalp with it. Raw garlic is also reported to grow hair. Peel and rub a clove on bald or thinning areas of the scalp.
Sea Salt is another reported hair loss treatment. Two heaping tablespoons added to a quart of boiling water and let cool. Sea Salt may work by creating an alkaline enviroment on the scalp. Rub a small amount into hair daily.
Rosemary and Sage also reportedly will help strengthen hair and prevent it from falling out. Make an tea of equal parts rosemary and sage. You can buy tinctures of these herbs at health food stores. Rub into the scalp and hair.
Treatments used on horses to grow manes and tails and treating bald spots from saddle irritation might seem very unnatural to use on human hair but some report significant growth success on human hair. These treatments tend to be heavy duty proteins and too much protein can cause hair to become brittle and break. Use sparingly and follow with moisture conditioning treatments for the hair to rebalance.
