Vitamin B6
The Mayo Clinic states that Vitamin B6 helps synthesize neurotransmitters and myelin formation. Vitamin B6 deficiency is common.
Vitamin C
Medline Plus explains that Vitamin C plays an important part of natural growth and development and is required for tissue repair.
Vitamin D
According to the Mayo Clinic, Vitamin D helps maintain appropriate levels of calcium and phosphorus in the blood.
Vitamin E
The Office of Dietary Supplements states that Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that may prevent chronic diseases caused by free radicals.
Other Vitamins
Vitamin K plays an essential role in the formation of blood clots. Other vitamins and minerals that are found in multivitamins include thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, Vitamin B12, biotin, chromium, manganese, copper, calcium, zinc and iron, according to the Linus Paulding Institute.
