Take The Cla & Epo

Taking CLA and EPO together can help you lose weight.

Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are good fats that have long been used to assist with weight loss. Two of the most important EFAs used for weight control are conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and gamma linoleic acid (GLA). CLA has been proven to help build muscle and reduce body fat while GLA boost metabolism. Most people don't consume enough of these nutrients in their diet, turning instead to CLA supplements and Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) which contains high levels of GLA.

Instructions

Doing Your Research

1. Compare various brands CLA and EPO supplements at your local pharmacy or health food store.

2. Choose reputable brands with high levels of CLA and GLA. More expensive brands don't necessarily offer more nutrients.

3. Read the instructions on both the CLA and EPO supplement packaging.

Dosage

4. Daily dosage of CLA is 3400 mg and for GLA it is 4000 mg. These can be split up into two or three doses and taken throughout the day.

5. Take EPO and CLA with food to boost GLA absorption and minimize any side effects.

6. Adding low-fat or nonfat milk to your meal will also maximize protein absorption.

7. For best results, also supplement with 400 iu of Vitamin E daily to protect dietary oil from being oxidized in the body.

8. If you are also taking Omega-3s, leave at least a 3 hour window between taking them and your CLA because the benefits of these two supplements will cancel each other out when taken together.
