Erase Wrinkles Without Surgery

Erase wrinkles

In order to erase wrinkles, two things are necessary. First, collagen production must be stimulated. Second, free radicals must be prevented from causing more damage. While nothing can stop a person from aging, there are a number of options that can help in this twofold process, and many of them are all-natural, free of charge and easy to implement.

Instructions

1. Quit smoking. Cigarettes limit the amount of collagen your body produces to repair damaged skin and heal wrinkles. Smoking also inhibits circulation, reducing the ability of healthy blood to reach minute blood vessels located in the skin of your face. This equals more dead skin and wrinkles.

2. Stay out of the sun or use sunscreen. Too much sun causes leather-like skin and crow's feet wrinkles around the eyes. If you have to be in the sun for an extended period of time, put on a high-level sunscreen and wear sunglasses. According to Miami and New York City based dermatologist Frederick Brandt, MD, "If you apply only one product to save off the years, it should be sunscreen."

3. Eat a diet rich in hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid helps prevent and get rid of premature wrinkles. Sweet potatoes are examples of foods which contain high amounts of HA. You may also purchase hyaluronic acid supplements from your local health food store.

4. Purchase moisturizing creams containing hydroxy acids in order to help you erase wrinkles. You may choose between alpha and beta hydroxy acid moisturizers. Alpha hydroxy acids are suited for sun-damaged skin, while beta hydroxy acids are better for those who suffer from acne.

5. Prevent wrinkles by taking antioxidants. Free radicals, which are caused by sun, stress and pollution, attack skin cells and lead to collagen breakdown. Combining antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 and green tea will help neutralize free radicals. You can also purchase prescription and over-the-counter antioxidant creams at your local pharmacy.

6. Avoid strong facial cleansers and soaps. A large number of these products claim to reduce wrinkles, but most of the time, they damage the top layers of your skin. Over time, this will produce more wrinkles instead of eliminating them.
