Vitamins To Grow Long Hair

Long hair looks beautiful when it's healthy.

It's a little-known fact that the health of your hair is directly tied to the overall condition of your body. If you are not getting enough vitamins and nutrients, then your hair will become brittle and may even stop growing. Getting recommended daily allowances of certain vitamins will ensure that if you decide to grow your hair long, it will be luminous and healthy.

Beta-Carotene

Beta-carotene is the single most important vitamin necessary for long, healthy hair. This vitamin, in addition to coating nerve fibers and converting vitamin A, triggers hair growth. If there is no beta-carotene in your diet, then your hair will not grow. It is most often found naturally in leafy greens such as kale and spinach, as well as in root vegetables such as carrots.

Vitamins C and E

Vitamins C and E are essential for hair growth, as they aid in circulation to the scalp. The more blood that is circulated, the more hair follicles are stimulated to grow. Vitamin C is commonly found in citrus fruits such as oranges and grapefruit, and Vitamin E is found in asparagus and eggs.

Biotin

Biotin is one of the main nutrients that goes into the actual structure of your hair, so having a good source of biotin in your diet will ensure that the structure of your hair remains healthy and strong. Great amounts of biotin in your diet can also reverse minor hair loss. It is found in soybeans, romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
