Vitamins for the Hair & the Skin


There are many vitamins that are good for our hair and skin that it can be hard to name them all. However, there are a few top antioxidants such as vitamins E, A, C, D and omega 3 that our skin drinks in to improve the health of our skin cells. When taken regularly, these vitamins can make the skin very healthy resulting in a beautiful radiant complexion and super shiny hair. Many of these vitamins are found in whole foods such as nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables.








Vitamin E


Vitamin E is an excellent vitamin for the hair and skin. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that destroys free radicals. Free radicals contribute to aging and disease. Vitamin E protects the cells and improves overall health. In addition, vitamin E is a super beauty vitamin. The oils help to add shine and softness to hair, and skin is supple and younger looking when vitamin E is consumed on a regular basis. Vitamin A

Biotin is in the B-family of vitamins. Biotin is a very important vitamin for beauty because it encourages hair growth. Biotin also helps to improve the condition of hair and skin. Skin will maintain more clarity when biotin is taken along with the other B-vitamins. Biotin works especially well with vitamin B5 to help control oil product and promote healthy skin. These vitamins work internally on the hair follicle to promote thickness and shine.


Omega 3 Fatty acids


Omega 3 fatty acids promote healthy hair and skin because they reduce dryness. Omega 3 fats help to balance oil production and prevent breakouts. In addition, these good fats also help to reduce inflammation in the body. Omega 3 fatty acids can be found in fish oil, flax oil, seeds, nuts and eggs, just to name a few.
