Two conditions of the heart have names that bear slight similarity: congenital heart disease and congestive heart failure. The former describes a defect in the structure of the heart that is present at birth. Hyperresponsive is when the brain essentially short-circuits from magnified or intense sensations. Even the lightest touch to a child can trigger a "fight or flight" response: The nervous system is perpetually on high alert and perceives nearly every movement or sensation as danger. Because of this, the child may avoid certain foods, clothing, movements, or perform repeated movements in an attempt to calm the body.


Conversely, hyporesponsive is when the brain simply doesn't register and respond to input received. A child may fall or bang his head and not indicate any sensation of pain. In an effort to make sense of his world, he may employ all other senses to compensate.

Digestive Enzyme Deficiencies

Provitamin A or beta-carotene can be confused with vitamin A, which is known as retinol. Provitamin A and other carotenoids are formed into vitamin A by our body and then used for various functions like our vision, skin health, and healthy bone development. Provitamin A and vitamin A can be found naturally in many different foods.


Function


Provitamin A is a carotene or carotenoid, which is a substance synthesized by plants but cannot be made by animals. This is why our body converts provitamin A into vitamin A that can be used. Vitamin A, or retinol, is a fat-soluble vitamin. Around 90 percent of retinol is stored in the liver and the rest is stored in the intestines and kidneys.

How Does Vitamin B5 Work?

While dosage recommendations vary between brands, in general you should take about 10 grams a day. To help your body adjust to the supplement, start the first couple of days taking five grams, and then slowly increase the dosage.

Some people may report positive results within four weeks, while for others it may take up to six months. Possible Side Effects

Whether you exercise for personal fitness or as part of a conditioning program for a competitive sport, you know that replenishing fluids is essential to your performance and your endurance. Deciding to replenish with water or a sports drink depends largely on the sport or exercise, the duration, the intensity and how quickly you dehydrate.


Need for Fluids


Regardless of activity level, everyone must replenish fluids throughout the day to avoid dehydration and ensure the body functions properly. For the more active child or adult who loses more fluids through sweating, replacing fluids is crucial.


For water to be effective, it must be consumed frequently, but without diluting the body's sodium content.
