Lose Belly Fat Through Yoga

Lose Belly Fat Through Yoga

Yoga is a type of exercise originated in India thousands of years ago. Most people consider yoga a lifestyle and many become lifelong practitioners. For modern-day practitioners, the goal of practicing yoga is to achieve a physically fit body as well as a peacefully sound mind. Physical fitness is achieved through a series of yoga poses that strengthen and stretch muscles, and also burn fat. There are a number of poses that specifically target the belly area, reducing fat and increasing muscle.

Instructions

1. Do the standing side stretch. This is a great exercise to work out the obliques (or sides of your belly) while burning off belly fat. Stand up straight with feet shoulder-width apart with arms at your side. Raise one arm straight up and bend your body from the waist as far to the side as possible. Return to center and repeat with the opposite arm.

2. Do the cat pose. This is a great stretching pose that tightens and tones the abdominal muscles. Get on your hands and knees, positioning them about a foot apart. Make sure your face is looking forward and your back is perfectly flat. Arch your back upwards so that it resembles a dome. Then slowly arch back downwards and lift your head to face the ceiling. Hold each position for about two seconds, and repeat about five to 10 times.

3. Do the locust pose. Lie flat on your stomach on your yoga mat, extending your arms and legs as far as possible. Lift your arms, chest, head and legs simultaneously, and hold for about two to five seconds, then lower. You can extend your arms out in front of you, or move them around toward your buttocks. This exercise pose engages your abs and fully utilizes your ab muscles to burn fat.

4. Do the bridge pose. This is a great exercise for burning belly fat and strengthening ab muscles. Lie down flat on your back with your knees bent and your feet about a foot apart. Place your arms flat on your side, and lift your hips off the floor while leaving your head, shoulders and feet on the floor. Hold for about five to 10 seconds, then lower. Do about 10 to 15 reps.

5. Do yoga crunches. Lie down on your back on a yoga mat. Raise your legs toward the ceiling, and put your hands behind your head to support your back. Using your abdominal muscles, push your legs up toward the ceiling, lifting your buttocks about two or three inches off the ground. Do 15 to 20 reps about three times a week.

Boost Glutathione With Nac

Boost Glutathione With NAC

Glutathione is an important antioxidant. As a natural antioxidant produced by cells in the body, it provides protection from toxin damage and supports many essential biological functions. It is important to keep glutathione from becoming low, because low levels are associated with a variety of diseases. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is derivative of the amino acid cysteine. NAC can be used to boost levels of glutathione, and this article will show boost glutathione with NAC supplementation.

Instructions

Boost Glutathione with N-acetylcysteine

1. Obtain N-acetylcysteine from a local health food or vitamin store. Check that the brand of N-acetylcysteine obtained is pharmaceutical grade. Doses of NAC range from 400mg to 1200mg per day. Consult with a health care professional before consuming over-the-counter supplements; inform them about health conditions and other medications.

2. Take NAC daily. Reports indicate that NAC treatment for eight weeks can replenish whole blood and T-cell glutathione. Side effects are rare, but NAC should be discontinued and medical attention sought if problems arise.

3. Have glutathione levels rechecked. While NAC also may boost energy and glutathione levels, it is best to determine the impact of NAC on glutathione by having glutathione levels rechecked by a medical professional.

4. Enjoy the benfits of increased antioxidant levels. Elevated glutathione as a result of N-acetylcysteine supplementation will help eliminate toxins from the body. Some studies have reported that elevating glutathione improves muscle function, decreases fat/lean body mass ratio and improves immune functions.

Kill Worms In Humans

Kill Worms in Humans

Intestinal worms are parasites that can live inside the human body. Although uncommon, intestinal worms can survive in the human body for several weeks, and they normally produce an array of digestive problems such as abdominal pain and nausea. Humans develop intestinal worms by ingesting their unhatched eggs found in contaminated food or water. But fortunately, there are several ways to kill worms in humans and alleviate uncomfortable symptoms.

Instructions

1. Eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables. Detoxifying the body is a quick way to kill worms in humans. Stay away from red meats, and rely on fruits and vegetables such as apples, grapes, green beans and spinach.

2. Drink plenty of water. Drink water to quickly detox and remove toxins from your body. This can speed your recovery. Drink between eight and 10 glasses of water a day.

3. Buy yogurt. Yogurt contains live cultures. This healthy bacteria can get rid of worms, and restore your digestive health.

4. Experiment with carrot juice. Carrot juice contains a natural digestive enzyme, which can eliminate worms in your body. Drink 1 to 3 glasses of carrot juice daily.

5. Take garlic capsules. Garlic is an effective cure for worms in humans. Eat two garlic cloves a day, or buy garlic supplements from your local health food store.

6. Talk to your doctor about anti-parasite medications. If your body doesn't respond to home remedies, make a doctor's appointment and obtain an anti-parasite medication to kill the worms.

Does Spinach Promote Hair Growth

Green leafy spinach

There are a variety of hair-care products on the market that advertise their ability to help with your hair growth. However, maintaining healthy hair and stimulating hair growth must start from the inside out. Along with a balanced diet of proteins, healthy carbohydrates and vegetables, adding spinach to your diet plan can be helpful in promoting your hair growth.

Hair Growth

Hair grows from hair follicles beneath the skin. An oily gland called the sebaceous gland secretes sebum, an oily substance that naturally conditions your hair, into the hair follicle. The hair shaft, the part of hair above the skin, is made up of keratin, which is a tough, fibrous, protein that forms hair and finger nails.

Vital Vitamins

Spinach has many nutrients and vitamins. Vitamins vital for hair growth and found in abundance in spinach are Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Vitamins A and C are essential for the body to produce sebum, while Vitamin E is an antioxidant that boosts scalp circulation, which is needed for healthy hair growth.

Essential Minerals

Iron and manganese are two essential minerals needed for healthy hair growth. Spinach contains a high amount of each of these minerals. Iron helps prevent hair loss, and manganese helps to maintain healthy hair.

Spinach Varieties

There are three different kinds of spinach available and all contain more nutrients than many other foods. Savoy has crisp and curly leaves; smooth-leaf has smooth, flat, spade-shaped leaves; and semi-savoy is a hybrid variety. With these choices it is easy to incorporate the leafy vegetable into your diet.

Cautions

If you have hair loss issues due to medical reasons or sudden hair loss, consult your doctor.

What Is The Meaning Of Daily Ui

Food labels listing daily values and UIs are sometimes difficult for the average person to understand; and reading nutrition information labels can feel like reading a different language when things are phrased in unfamiliar terms.

Definition of UI

UI is an abbreviation of the term "International Unit". It is more commonly abbreviated as "IU", although both are acceptable. The alternate abbreviation UI is due to the word "unit" coming first in many languages when the phrase is translated, for example in French, "International Unit" is "Unit Internationale". Because America is a largely English-speaking country, you are more likely to see IU instead of UI.

Use

IU, or UI, is used in pharmacology for vitamins, hormones, some medications, vaccines, blood products, and similar biologically active substances. The definition of IU is established by international agreement, and differs from product to product; one IU of vitamin E is not equivalent to one IU of vitamin A.

IU and Daily Values

"Daily values" are guidelines set by the FDA about how much of a substance you should consume in a day. IUs are used for vitamins because the amount required is usually too small to be listed in milligrams (mg). For example, the recommended daily IU value for vitamin D is 400, which means that you should consume at least that much vitamin D every day.

Take Vitamins & Cold Medicine Together

There are many different viruses that can cause a cold. However, the chances of catching a cold increase when an individual is psychologically stressed or has allergies. Stress weakens the immune system, and allergies are a sign of an already weakened immune system. Taking vitamins is a great way to help strengthen the immune system and help the body recover from the common cold. Cold medicines help to relieve the symptoms of a cold, but they cannot actually cure a cold or boost the immune system. Taking a cold medicine along with taking vitamins can help you both feel better and get well faster.

Instructions

1. Fill a large glass with 12 to 16 ounces of water, or a 16 ounce bottle of water may be used instead. Add one serving of a vitamin C powder supplement containing around 1,000 mg of vitamin C per serving to the glass or bottle of water. A vitamin C supplement called Emergen-C can be purchased at most local department stores in the vitamin section.

2. Mix the vitamin C powder and water together by stirring it vigorously with a spoon until it becomes well blended, or if using a bottle of water, replace the lid and shake the bottle vigorously for 15 to 30 seconds.

3. Measure out the proper dosage of cold medicine, according to the instructions on the label. Take the cold medicine with the vitamin C water and continue to drink until the water is gone. With each dosage of cold medicine drink 12 to 16 ounces of vitamin C water.

What Causes A Burning Sensation In The Body

What Causes a Burning Sensation in the Body?

A burning sensation, either in a particular area of the body or over a wide range throughout, is not a pleasant thing. It can also be indicative of a number of underlying problems. Depending on other symptoms that accompany the burning sensation, the cause could be everything from a reaction to severe trauma to an indication of vascular disease.

Trauma

Someone still in shock or recovering from a severe trauma may experience a burning sensation. This occurs because nerve fibers are over-stimulated, still reacting to the traumatic event.

Nervous System

Problems with the nervous system may cause a burning sensation in the body. Nerves that relay messages and are connected to the spinal cord and brain can be damaged in a condition called peripheral neuropathy. It often causes a burning along with loss of muscle control, lack of sensations and pain. In other cases, a particular nerve is affected, in a condition called neuralgia. Other symptoms of neuralgia can include tender skin, numb feet, loss or lack of motor skills and paresthesias, or abnormal sensations.

Spinal Disease

Burning sensations are also common when someone is suffering from a disease of the spinal nerve roots called radiculothopy. If this is the case, the burning sensation is often accompanied by a tingling or numbness in the extremities and a literal pain in the butt.

Herpes

Herpes, a sexually transmitted infection, is also known for causing a burning sensation. Both herpes simplex and herpes zoster are known for causing a burning sensation, along with a host of other conditions. Herpes simplex is often accompanied by pain or lumps in the genital area, swollen lymph nodes and a stinging sensation in the skin. Herpes zoster often also leads to a burning abdominal pain, loss of hearing in one ear, headaches and the inability to move the eyes. Both can produce open lesions and sores.

Vascular Condition

Peripheral vascular disease is another cause of a burning sensation. In this case, the blood vessels become narrowed and blood flow is restricted. This vascular condition usually affects the legs, but can also be found in the arms. In this case, the burning sensation may be accompanied by a blood pressure increase, swollen feet, blue lips and thick nails.

Other Conditions

Other conditions that may result in a burning sensation are whiplash, snake bites, stings from marine animals, leprosy, vitamin, calcium or hormone deficiencies, frostbite, skin conditions, ulcers, carpal tunnel syndrome and other conditions marked by nerve damage.

Make The Dark Scars From Razor Bumps Disappear

Lighten your razor burn scars with natural remedies.

Scars from razor burn and ingrown hairs can be embarrassing, especially if it's summer and they're around the bikini line. An ingrown hair occurs when a hair is cut, becomes sharp, curls and gets trapped in the hair follicle. The result is a bump that often leaves a scar. The scars will lighten eventually, but it can take months. Speed up the process by taking care of your skin. Try natural home remedies such as castor oil and Vitamin E to reduce the appearance of your unsightly scars.

Instructions

1. Exfoliate the scarred area to remove dead skin cells and allow new skin cell production. This will speed up the healing process. You can purchase an exfoliator like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or Queen Helene Mint Julep Natural Face Scrub. You can make your own by mixing three parts olive oil and two parts sugar.

2. Apply natural aloe very to the spots. If you have an aloe vera plant or know someone who does, you can actually cut open a stem and scrape the aloe gel out. Aloe vera is a natural anti-inflammatory and helps in the healing process. Aloe is only effective when the scar is fresh.

3. Apply cocoa butter to the scarred skin. Cocoa butter is known for reducing the appearance stretch marks and works the same way on scars.

4. Condition the skin with Vitamin E. Purchase Vitamin E oil or puncture a Vitamin E capsule and apply the oil to the scarred area in a circular motion.

5. Soak a small flannel cloth in castor oil and lay it on the scarred skin. Leave it for an hour or two. Do this once a day.

6. Visit a dermatologist and ask about bleaching creams. These can lighten the skin to reduce the appearance of the scars.

7. Have a microdermabrasion procedure done on the scarred area. This removes layers of skin to and will promote new skin cell growth.

Foods High In Vitamin D3

There are two main types of vitamin D: these are vitamin D2 and D3. Vitamin D2 is found in plant sources, but the more common vitamin D3 is found in animal sources. According to the Office of Dietary Supplements, vitamin D3 is a necessary nutrient that many individuals do not get enough of on a daily basis. V Vitamin D3 is important to both the function and structure of the human body. There are some food sources of vitamin D3, as well as natural and supplemental sources.

Why is Vitamin D3 Important?

Vitamin D3 serves a number of functions in the human body. Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium, and this helps to maintain strong and healthy bones. Vitamin D3 helps bones mend and heal after injury. Vitamin D3 can help reduce inflammation in the body. The Mayo Clinic states vitamin D3 may also help prevent high blood pressure as well as some types of cancer.

Food Sources of Vitamin D3

Unlike other nutrients, vitamin D3 is not found in a large number of foods. Mushrooms contain a lot of vitamin D3. Fish that are high in vitamin D3 include salmon, mackerel, sardines and tuna. Eggs are a good source of vitamin D3, as are beef and liver. Fish oil and cod liver oil also contain high amounts of vitamin D3.

Foods with Vitamin D3 Added

Due to the fact that natural food sources of vitamin D3 are not necessarily foods individuals are going to eat in abundance, vitamin D3 has been added to a number of foods that people consume more regularly. Milk, soy milk, yogurt and some brands of orange juice are vitamin D3 fortified. Margarine and cheeses may also have had vitamin D3 added to them. Most ready-to-eat cereals and brands of instant oatmeal have been fortified with vitamin D3 as well.

Sunlight as a Source of Vitamin D3

While too much sun exposure can be hazardous to your health, getting a little bit of sun exposure can help to boost levels of vitamin D3 within the body. Getting 10 minutes of sunlight a day can help your body produce vitamin D3 on its own. Using sunscreens can prevent the sun from being able to affect the body in a way that helps produce vitamin D3 and should be applied after 10 minutes of exposure.

Symptoms of Vitamin D3 Deficiency

A vitamin D3 deficiency can lead to the development of certain diseases. An individual who does not have enough vitamin D3 in her blood may develop rickets, a disease that causes bones to become deformed. Without enough vitamin D3 bones may become thin and brittle. An individual with a vitamin D3 deficiency is at a higher risk of developing osteoporosis. A deficiency in vitamin D3 can also cause chronic muscle weakness.

Liquid Vs Powdered Vitamins

Pills, even these gel caps, can take a long time to absorb.

Liquid and powdered vitamins both boast better absorption rates than pill-form supplements. According to Fitness.com, liquid and powdered vitamins are 100 percent bio-available, which means that 100 percent of their nutrients are immediately available for absorption into the blood stream. Pill-form vitamins are typically only 50 to 70 percent bio-available. Renuva.net notes that pill supplements often contain binding ingredients such as starch, talc and sugar that make absorption slower and more difficult.

Benefits of Liquid Vitamins

Liquid vitamins can be added to your juice.

Liquid vitamins are very easy for the body to absorb and put to use. According to Renuva.net, they begin absorbing through the buccal mucosa (the cells in your mouth) rather than being slowly broken down in your digestive track.

Disadvantages of Liquid Vitamins

Liquid vitamins are not very convenient to transport. Some come packaged in individual servings, but others come in a large bottle that needs to be kept refrigerated. They also tend to expire much faster than pill-form vitamins.

Benefits of Powdered Vitamins

Powdered vitamins often have minimal taste and can be added to water.

Like liquid vitamins, powdered vitamins have a much faster absorption rate. They are versatile because they can be mixed with water or juice and make only a small change to the taste. Some varieties are flavored, and some are even effervescent to add a little fizz to the drinks you already enjoy.

Disadvantages of Powdered Vitamins

If you don't have water or juice on hand to mix powdered vitamins, you may be faced with the difficult task of trying to choke down the dry, messy powders or waiting for them dissolve under your tongue.

Warning

Some powdered vitamins, especially effervescent ones, can have high amounts of Niacin, which can cause an allergic reaction. Talk to your doctor before starting any new nutritional supplement program, and start with a very small dose to see how your body reacts.

Vitimin E Vs Omega 3

Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E and omega three fats. Berries contain vitamin E, C and other vitamins.

Omega three fatty acids and vitamin E are both powerful but different types of nutrients. Vitamin E helps the body in many ways, such as improving cell communication, fighting infection, reducing wrinkles and neutralizing free radical damage. Free radical damage is the result of poor diet and lifestyle along with general aging. Free radicals are unpaired molecules that destroy cells as they look for a pair. Omega three is classified as a healthy fatty acid. Among the health benefits they provide, omega three fats reduce inflammation and lubricate the joints.

Function

Both vitamin E and omega three fats help to reduce inflammation in the body. The primary role of vitamin E is to protect cells from damage. Vitamin E is similar to omega three fatty acids because it is fat soluble, meaning that it can be stored in fat. Omega three fatty acids can be stored in fat but the body also uses these fats in several areas within the body. For instance, omega three fats lubricate the tissues and cells in addition to strengthening cells just like vitamin E. The two nutrients have very similar functions.

Types

There are two main types of vitamin E. Dl-alpha-tocopher (y)l acetate or succinate is a synthetic form of vitamin. It is created in a lab and is the cheapest. The natural source of vitamin E extracted or found in foods is called d-alpa-tocopherol. D-alpa-tocpherol has a greater biopotency, meaning the cells accept this form of vitamin E better than the synthetic form. The natural form of vitamin E can be found in foods such as sunflower seeds, salmon, eggs and other types of fish.

There are three main types of omega three fatty acids such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). All three types are found in foods such as sunflower seeds, almonds, eggs, and fish. Both vitamin E and omega three fats are found in many of the same foods.

Significance

As compared to omega three fats, vitamin E is more effective at fighting free radicals. However, omega three fats do a much better job at fighting inflammation. Both nutrients are needed by the body because each has something unique to offer. Both vitamin E and omega three fats improve skin health in the same way, by protecting cells.

Warning

If you are taking prescription medications be sure to talk to your doctor before taking omega three or vitamin E supplements. Some drugs may interact with vitamins and herbs. However, when you receive these nutrients from food your body will absorb the nutrients without any problems. Vitamin supplements are isolated, making them more potent.

History

Herbert M. Evans and K.S. Bishop discovered vitamin E in 1922. Researchers soon found out that vitamin E was a fat soluble vitamin . In 1903 studies by Evans and his assistants found that vitamin E deficiencies caused reproductive problems in small lab animals. In 1968 vitamin E was labeled as a vital nutrient for people.

People first became aware of omega three fatty acids in the 1930s. However, the benefits of these healthy fats were not known until the 1970s when researchers studied the effects these fats had on Greenland Eskimos. Today, omega fats are considered essential, but the body does not make these fats, so they must be consumed in food.

What Is A Chemical Formula

What Is a Chemical Formula?

A chemical formula is a representation of the elements in a molecule. Although the word "formula" connotes an equation, chemical formula are not to be confused with chemical equations, which describe multiple molecules at once.

Definition

A chemical formula is a combination of "chemical symbols," or element symbols such as H, He and Li, used to indicate the number of atoms in a molecule. Chemical formulas are then combined to make "chemical equations" to describe a reaction.

Types

There are two kinds of textual chemical formulas, such as H2O, and several types of graphical formulas that elucidate atom position within the molecule.

Molecular Formula

The molecular chemical formula uses subscripts to count the number of elements in a molecule, e.g. H2O, where the 2 is a subscript. One variant is to clump element symbols together in the order they appear in the molecule, e.g. CH3-O-CH3 or CH3OCH3, instead of C2H6O.

Structural Formula

Structural chemical formulas represent molecules pictorially. They convey angles and positions that a molecular formula couldn't, such as a benzene ring.

Lewis Dot Structure

The most common elements allow up to either 2 or 8 electrons in their outer shell, the shell involved in chemical interactions. The Lewis dot representation of outer-shell electrons exploits the numbers being so low, to show why and how atoms bond with each other with simple diagrams.

Treat Scalp Psoriasis

A dry, scaling, red or itchy scalp may indicate psoriasis.

Successful management of scalp psoriasis begins with an accurate diagnosis. If you have scales, flaking, itching or other symptoms, don't self-diagnose. The condition closely resembles other skin conditions affecting the scalp, such as seborrheic and other types of dermatitis. Consult a dermatologist, who will make a definitive diagnosis with lab analysis of a skin sample. Although it cannot be cured, once you confirm that you're dealing with scalp psoriasis, you have a variety of options for treating the condition.

Topical Medications

Often, products applied directly to the scalp are the first line of defense against mild to moderate scalp psoriasis. Topical corticosteroids reduce inflammation and associated symptoms. These medications are a hallmark of scalp psoriasis treatment, notes the American Academy of Dermatologists on its PsoriasisNet website. Your dermatologist may suggest a low-potency, over-the-counter product at first, but stronger doses are commonly prescribed. Calcipotriene or other vitamin D analogues are another topical treatment possibility, as are vitamin A derivatives known as topical retinoids, such as tazarotene.

Oral and Injected Medications

There are also oral and injected medications that are prescribed for severe cases of scalp psoriasis. These include oral retinoids, methotrexate to inhibit skin cell production and reduce inflammation, cyclosporine to suppress the immune response that causes symptoms, immunomodulators and other drugs.

Shampoos

Certain shampoos are well-suited to treating scalp psoriasis in many individuals. A number of appropriate products are sold over the counter, often marketed for the purposes of controlling the condition. Ask your dermatologist about trying a shampoo containing coal tar or salicylic acid. Such products are often enough to manage mild scalp psoriasis on their own, while moderate or severe conditions may benefit from shampoos in conjunction with other therapies. If these shampoos prove inadequate, your dermatologist may prescribe one containing the corticosteroid clobetasol propionate.

Phototherapy

Phototherapy is a fancy word for light treatments. Scalp psoriasis benefits from exposure to ultraviolet radiation. A variety of lasers and other artificial light sources apply direct UVB rays to the scalp, some of which are available for home use. Photochemotherapy, a more aggressive form of phototherapy, entails taking a UVA light-sensitizing medication to make the scalp more responsive to exposure. This course of therapy is generally used in conjunction with a larger treatment plan.

Lifestyle Remedies

Lifestyle approaches to scalp psoriasis treatment help reduce symptoms and flareups. In general, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption to very small quantities and eat a healthy diet comprised primarily of whole foods. Note your personal triggers, which may include certain fabrics, stress or certain weather conditions. Do your best to avoid contact with these triggers. Daily bathing in lukewarm water soothes skin and removes scales. Add colloidal oatmeal, a gentle bath oil, Epsom salt or Dead Sea Salt into the water and soak your scalp for about 15 minutes.

Use Holistic Medicine To Treat Multiple Sclerosis

Use Holistic Medicine to Treat Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a long-term disease that attacks the central nervous system. Common symptoms include painful muscle cramps, numbness in the arms, legs and face, blurred vision and trouble balancing. There's no current cure for multiple sclerosis; but there are ways to treat the symptoms. Holistic medicine focuses on the ability the body has to heal itself. By balancing the body, mind and soul with the environment the individual lives in, it's believed that holistic practitioners can alleviate MS symptoms. Follow these steps to find out how.

Instructions

Decrease Symptoms Through a Proper Diet

1. Avoid foods containing saturated fats. Saturated fats usually derive from animal fats, which can exacerbate multiple sclerosis symptoms.

2. Consume plenty of vegetables and fiber. Good choices are beans and peas.

3. Choose lean meats as a primary source of protein.

4. Maintain a diet with less than 20 g of fat per day. As an MS patient, this can make a huge difference in relieving your symptoms and prolonging your life.

5. Take supplements like vitamin D, vitamin B12 and fish oil capsules to help relieve painful MS symptoms.

Use Complementary Holistic Therapies

6. Use exercise and complementary alternative medicine practices as a way to alleviate symptoms.

7. Practice deep breathing to combat stress. Stress can aggravate MS symptoms. If deep breathing isn't enough, combine deep breathing with meditation (see next section).

8. Learn to read your body's signals and enrich your health with biofeedback. Biofeedback involves using brain power to change physical bodily functions. This isn't a technique for amateurs. It might require assistance from an alternative medicine practitioner. Read more about it at the "Holistic online" Web site (see Resources below).

Use Meditation to Treat Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms

9. Start by choosing a quiet area and closing your eyes.

10. Concentrate on your breathing and try to relax.

11. Begin to let go of tension with every deep inhale and exhale.

12. Allow your body and mind to melt. Let go of any thoughts or worries.

13. Surrender to a deep relaxation.

5hour Energy Side Effects

The two ounces of liquid inside a 5-Hour Energy shot contain numerous ingredients, including vitamins, amino acids and significant quantities of caffeine. Side effects differ depending on the specific shot. Extra Strength 5-Hour Energy contains stronger doses than a Decaf 5-Hour Energy shot does.

Energy

As an energy drink, 5-Hour Energy delivers. The original energy blend contains as much caffeine as a small cup of coffee.

Skin Reaction

The presence of niacin, also known as vitamin B3, can cause a skin reaction, called a niacin flush, that causes the skin to become red and itchy. The effects should not last more than 30 minutes.

B6 Overdose

Drinking five bottles of the original 5-Hour Energy blend can cause a Vitamin B6 overdose that leads to nerve toxicity or paralysis.

Caffeine Overdose

Ingesting too much caffeine in a short period of time can cause involuntary shaking, nausea, vomiting, irregular heart beat, panic attacks and disorientation. Gastro-intestinal pain, dehydration, diarrhea and headaches are also possible.

Risk Groups

There are many groups of people who should consult their doctor before using 5-Hour Energy. These include anyone taking prescriptions and anyone who has been directed to avoid stimulants. Pregnant women, young children, and people with phenylketonuria (PKU) should avoid it altogether.

Improve Circulation Naturally

Blood circulation is the process of the blood flowing throughout the body, from the heart to the lungs, then to the other organs and back to the heart again. This process keeps us alive and helps to ensure that the body and organs function properly on a daily basis. Sometimes people may suffer from poor circulation due to various reasons such as arthritis, diabetes, obesity, smoking or lack of physical activity or exercising. Fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to improve circulation naturally in your body.

Instructions

1. Follow a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet helps to promote blood circulation naturally throughout the body, keeps the heart working properly and helps the blood to flow smoothly to the organs. You should try eating a lot of vegetables (such as green, leafy ones), plenty of fruit, whole grains and fish and poultry (in small portions). Be sure to limit your sugar, alcohol, sodium and caffeine intake and reduce the amount of refined white products (such as pasta) that you eat.

2. Increase your water intake. Make sure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. You may need to drink more water if you are pregnant, physically active or a larger sized person. Water is good for the body and it is also a key component in improving blood circulation.

3. Add lemonade to your diet. Lemonade is good for the body because it contains the ingredient “citrate,” which is good for blood circulation. Be sure to use real lemon juice in your lemonade.

4. Engage in appropriate physical activities. Physical movement and exercising is really important for blood circulation. Regular physical activities can keep the heart pumping and working properly and it helps the blood to keep moving and flowing smoothly. Some good examples of physical activities include walking, running, swimming, dancing and aerobics.

5. Use a variety of heat therapies to help improve your circulation. Try using hot packs or castor oil packs, hot water bottles or electric heating pads to relieve any cramping and pain in the body and to help with your blood circulation. Applying heat to your body can quickly stimulate blood circulation naturally throughout the body.

6. Get a foot massage on a regular basis. Visit a local spa or salon and have someone massage the reflex point on the bottom of each foot. This helps to increase blood flow to the various organs in your body.

7. Take a multivitamin everyday. To ensure that your body is receiving enough vitamins and minerals, be sure to take an appropriate multivitamin each day.

Care For Ringnecks & Princess Parrots

Parrots can make good pets with proper care.

While dogs and cats are the most numerous pets in the United States, those who are unable to keep them or who would prefer a more unique pet, may find that a bird would make the perfect pet. While the choice of birds is almost limitless, some are easier to care for and make better companions than others. While both Ringneck and Princess parrots are colorful, handsome birds that can be taught to talk, they do require specialized care, as do all of the parrots.

Instructions

Ringneck Parrots

1. Provide a medium-sized cage of at least 2-by-4 feet. While this size of cage is adequate, larger cages are always better. The cage should include several perches and toys, along with feed and water dishes. You should also let your bird out of its cage daily for proper exercise.

2. Feed your bird a diet of pellets, seeds and fruit. Leafy dark green vegetables and orange vegetables should also be included. Be sure there is access to fresh water daily. Add vitamins to the water once a week; there are several vitamins and supplements on the market. Ask your veterinarian, breeder or pet shop owner to recommend one for your bird.

3. Handle your parrot regularly. These parrots will quickly revert to their former wild behavior without sufficient attention.

4. Use water and a safe bird cage cleaner to clean and disinfect the cage and dishes. Do this at least once a week for optimum health.

Princess Parrots

5. Provide a cage that is at least 4.5 meters or approximately 15 feet long. Include dishes for water and feed plus one or two toys, such as a mirror or bell. Allow your bird out of its cage for additional exercise.

6. Feed your bird a mixture of small seeds including canary and millet along with oats, safflower and buckwheat. You may include some sunflower seeds and green leaves such as lettuce, dandelion and other grasses. Some fruits such as apple, pear, orange and banana should be included in the diet.

7. Deworm your bird regularly as this breed is very susceptible to worm infestation. There are several brands of dewormers on the market. Consult your veterinarian for specific suggestions.

8. Clean and disinfect the cage and dishes regularly, at least once a week.
